Fantastic Lunch at Baile Cafe - San Miguel de Allende

by Gale and Warren Beery
(San Miguel de Allende)

We had a fantastic lunch/dinner at Baile Cafe--behind the Arthur Murray Dance Studio on Hernandez Macias, next door to Vivoli restaurant.

I had the Swing Salad--wonderful dressing, fresh greens, and adding chicken made it a perfect meal. My husband had the Ballroom Burger, which he claimed to be one of the best, if not the best, in San Miguel de Allende.

It was so much fun to watch the dancers at the Arthur Murray Dance School while we ate--like having a dinner/show.

The chef was with Romano's and is dedicated to providing fresh, tasty food, and the presentation is beautiful (bring your camera).

So if you are in town and hungry, check it out--you will not be disappointed.

I love this concept of having great food at a dance studio! The chef, Adrian Olvera, is married to Christie Olvera, the owner of the Arthur Murray Dance Studio, so the match makes sense.

Adrian is the former head chef of the popular Romano's restaurant, which closed in 2009. In addition to the dishes mentioned above, he's also got such "dancy" dishes as Lambada Empanadas and Foxtrot Filets plus Arthur's Pasta. He's brought back the Romano's favorite, Cha-Cha Chocolate Cake and added Samba Rolls for dessert.
