Excellent Dinner at Planta Baja-San Miguel de Allende

We had an excellent dinner in San Miguel at Planta Baja. It's located at Canal 28, just a couple of blocks from the Jardin and half a block from Bellas Artes.

Planta Baja features Mediterranean cuisine with a Mexican twist. Great service and atmosphere.

Prices here are very reasonable at ~$25 per person for dinner with drinks and appetizer.

I couldn't agree more. This is one of our favorite places for a really nice dinner out at a price that won't totally break the budget.

This is true "fusion" food... a mix of Asian and Mexican elements. We love the caramelized swordfish appetizer.

The decor is contemporary and very classy, even a little avant-garde. You don't feel like you're in Mexico. And the waiters are very professional. You should definitely put Planta Baja on your list next time you're in San Miguel de Allende.
