At this amazing restaurant located on "La Calle del Correo" (the street of the post office) enjoy their specialties: queso fundido, chile relleno, crema de frijól, and more!!
I've been planning to write a review of El Correo, but you beat me to it. It's been one of my favorites and a real "old stand-by" for close on 20 years.
I usually order the "corundas," which are a kind of tamale from Michoacan, with a rich tomato broth/sauce and chunks of pork. Delicious!
I also like the fact that you see ex-pats and Mexicans, solos, couples and whole families here. The location, just a block from the JardÃn, is a real asset, too.
A truly comfortable place, good authentic Mexican food, reasonable prices.
